Hi all. I’m 69, live alone in a two story home. I’m very active and am in good physical condition. I don’t have a date yet for my replacement but want to know from all of your recoveries if I should go to a facility or try to do it at home with help from a few friends. Thanks for any input.

I have heard that it's better to try and stay home. I am 6 weeks post op and I may thankful to be home but you will need help especially the first month. I'm not sure about the stairs. Maybe make a temporary bedroom downstairs.
