It's been 3 1/2 since my bilateral knee replacement. My extension is perfectly straight and my flexion is 126 degrees so I have my flexibility back. I'm walking on my own and driving so I am pretty much back to my normal life. My problem is the pain in both knees is constant a virtually unbearable. It's worse at night and I'm not sleeping even with medication. My biggest fear is that the doctor will stop the pain meds because it's the only thing keeping me functioning. I need this pain to stop. I feel right now like I made a huge mistake having the surgery.

I am 3 months and still have quite a bit of pain. I find a heating pad works well at night. I am still trying to actively improve the bend in my leg, which is about 120, so I think that is part of it. Also wondering if this was the right decision, but am hoping I will be pain free by 6 months.

I had my first knee replacement in August 2019, and I go in tomorrow for my other one. From my experience, you will see a huge improvement between 3 and 6 months...be patient and in 1 yr you will be so thankful!
