Yowza, that is some surgery- I had a TKR on January 9, 2020 on my right knee
I think I am insane, because I am going to get my left knee done in 2 more months- I decided this short term misery for 20 or so years of walking, traveling, etc will be worth this torture in the long run.
The swelling and bruising really blew me away-The relentless
pain day in and day out really gets you down, down, down!
Its discouraging because I work so hard at my physical therapy at home and going to it 3 times a week, with great therapists and I am only at 86 flexion and my knee is not totally straight-what the heck?
I didn't take any pain pills today and drove to Walmart and walked for a hour in there- Now, my knee is on fire and I am icing it.
I don't want to scare anyone off on getting it, but it is not for the faint of heart- I just keep giving myself, eye on the prize pep talks everyday.
