I have had such horrible pain management issues. I have told myself today at least twice that I wish I had not had it. I know it will get better, but wow!

yes, of course I had anticipated pain but it's still shocking!
I am 9 days post op for left knee and realized early on I had to stay ahead of the pain.
I set my alarm to take Med's during the night and this has increased my comfort and sleep.
last nite I eliminated the 2am dose to see how it would go and woke up from pain close to the 6am dose . so I am going to consider this a success.
no going back push negative thoughts away

I'm a week out of post-op and the pain is getting to me. I'm on OXY, but it makes me so tired and lethargic. I don't want to anything. I know I should walk more -- but I have no motivation to do so. Ha, the motivation should be less pain - but heck, it hurts so much AND I'm totally wiped out.

I keep telling myself that it's healing pain - and the end result will be amazing. One day at a time, I guess. For tomorrow, I have set a few goals. Hoping that it helps.

Good luck on road to recover.

I can truthfully say that, for me the pain is SO BAD that each night I can’t imagine that it will EVER get better. I have never had pain this bad for this long and it is debilitating!
