The left knee shattered in a motorbike accident in 1967 finally got so painful that I decided to have it replaced.
It required a custom made template and a custom made TKR so the surgery was not easy.
Carried out under the UK NHS at Nottingham I am now at the Operation +5 days stage.
There has been no severe pain, ROM is already at 70 degrees and I am overjoyed with the results.
If I have any regrets it is that I could have had this operation done three years ago and saved myself a lot of pain and suffering.
